ICEI Conference Privacy Policy and GDPR Compliance
- According to transparency requirements of GDPR, reviewers and authors have the right to be informed about the collection and use of their personal data.
- ICEI conference committee will provide the authors and reviewers with information including: purposes for processing personal data, retention periods for that personal data, and who it will be shared with. This is called ‘privacy information’.
- The minimum term of data retention is 1 calendar year since the day of the first contact.
- The personal data provided by the author/reviewer will be erased when the personal data is no longer needed or necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally collected and processed.
- The author/reviewers have the right to restrict the processing of their personal data in certain circumstances.
- ICEI conference committee may share personal information and data of the authors in the cases of plagiarism or other misconduct detected. In this case, ICEI conference committee is expected to fully cooperate in investigation.
- Author’s work affiliation is considered an integral part of articles’ indexation in the international databases and catalogues. It is therefore treated as open-source data. Authors are recommended to provide it when submitting their manuscripts. The current work affiliation will be published on the first page of the conference proceedings.
- ICEI organisation shall not share personal contact information (phone number, e-mail address etc.) with third parties.
- Authors and reviewers are asked to respect the privacy of the conference committee. Authors are requested not to initiate communication via informal contact sources such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram etc.
