17th IW 2026 is coming,
12 - 16 October 2026 in Ostrava
IN THE NEW BUILDING OF THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS IN THE CAMPUS OF VSB-TUO
Dear colleagues,
we are pleased to invite you to the next edition of International Week at the Faculty of Economics, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic.
Since 2010, International Week has served as a meeting place for academics and university staff from many countries active in economics, business, management, international relations, and related fields. Over the years, the event has evolved into a platform not only for teaching mobility, but also for building long-term international cooperation in research, education, and project activities.
Join us for a week full of guest lectures, workshops, networking opportunities, and informal discussions with colleagues from across Europe and beyond. International Week offers space to share ideas, develop new partnerships, discuss future projects, and strengthen existing cooperation between our institutions.
Participants will also have the opportunity to experience our modern Faculty of Economics building located in the heart of the university campus and to explore selected university research facilities and laboratories.
Our primary objective is to provide our students, both local and international, with the opportunity to meet foreign lecturers and gain international perspectives directly in the classroom. At the same time, we aim to support cooperation among academic staff in research collaboration, joint publications, Erasmus+ and other international educational projects, Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), COIL activities, and other forms of international cooperation.
The programme will include academic activities, thematic workshops, networking sessions, and social events designed to create a friendly and inspiring international atmosphere.
We truly hope you will take this opportunity to meet colleagues from different countries, share your experience, and become part of another inspiring International Week in Ostrava.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ostrava!
