The Czech Society for Operations Research organises a competition for the best paper presented by PhD students at the Mathematical Methods in Economics 2026 conference. The competition is open to all participants currently enrolled in PhD studies.
All submitted papers will undergo a double review process. Papers receiving positive reviews will be further evaluated by the Conference Programme Committee.
Only full papers authored exclusively by PhD students are eligible for the competition. Submissions consisting of abstracts only will not be considered for the competition. Papers co-authored by non-PhD students will be treated as regular conference submissions and excluded from the competition.
The winners will be announced during the conference dinner ceremony on September 10.
