The Faculty of Economics cooperates with a great number of universities from all over the world. Internationalisation and increase of academic mobility have become a priority and key aspect of future direction of the faculty.
Most teaching or non-academic staff periods are organized on the basis of bilateral agreements between our faculty and partner institutions abroad. If you are interested in benefiting from one of our partnership agreements, please contact our International Office.
- Incoming staff for teaching
1) The recommended length of the teaching mobility is 5 working days. In justified cases, it is possible to carry out a shorter stay of at least 2 consecutive working days, excluding travel. The maximum length of stay is 2 months. However, it is necessary to teach at least 8 teaching hours (for 2 - 5 working days).
2) If you are interested in coming to the Faculty of Economics for an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA), please have a look at the different departments, because you will have to be invited by a particular department. First, filled and signed Teaching Mobility Agreement with specific topics of the lectures that you would like to lead. Please, send this form (perhaps also with your CV) and your desired time period at Faculty of Economics to International Office () and if possible also send also name of the contact person or the department representative by whom you wish to be invited.
3) After agreeing to accept a short-term employee, the STA will be signed by our faculty coordinator and sent back to the applicant.
4) At the end of the mobility, the International Office coordinator signs the Confirmation of Erasmus+ Teaching.
- Incoming staff for training
1) Erasmus+ staff mobility can be realised for a maximum of five days.
2) If you are interested in coming to the Faculty of Economics VSB-TUO an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training (STT) please, send us filled and signed Training Mobility Agreement. This form and potential questions should be addressed to our International Office-at least 2 months ahead.
3) After agreeing to accept a short-term employee, the STT will be signed by our faculty coordinator and sent back to the applicant.
4) At the end of the mobility, the International Office coordinator signs the Confirmation of Erasmus+ Training.
The CEEPUS programme supports multilateral regional cooperation through university networks. The goal of the programme is to create a Central European university network consisting of various sub-networks. Partner universities collaborate on various research tasks within the network.
CEEPUS II agreements have been signed by the following countries Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia/FYROM, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia; Kosovo is a cooperating partner.
The CEEPUS programme is targeted at undergraduate students who have completed at least two semesters, postgraduate students and academic staff. The programme is based on the principle of reciprocity in exchanges.
It is also possible to become part of the network as a ‘free mover’ if your home university is not a member of a suitable network.

If you are interested in knowing more about the CEEPUS projects now running at the Faculty of Economics or if you are seeking a partner for a new project please get in touch with the faculty coordinator at the International Office who has overall responsibility for the programme at the Faculty of Economics and will try to find a suitable match.
International Contact Point (ICP) is also for staff coming to VSB - Technical University of Ostrava from abroad. ICP shall help all who intend to stay for longer than three months with the preparation of their visa documents prior to their scheduled arrival, ICP shall attend to insurance arrangements, help with opening a bank account and also with temporary accommodation,etc.
