Before departure

The applicant must

  • have confirmation about language knowledge or a valid language certificate
  • have fulfilled study obligations from previous periods
  • be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or doctoral study programme

The financial contribution for the stay is provided in various amounts. Amounts by destination are listed here. All the requirements concerning the financing of mobility are solved by the student of the employee of the university International Office in Poruba after admission to foreign mobility.

Additional funding can be obtained through various organizations or foundations that support study abroad.

The Faculty of Economics has concluded agreements with these partner universities throughout Europe...

Information meeting - takes place at the beginning of the semester and the student will get information on how to proceed when applying and how to choose a university.

Choice of a foreign university - the student chooses a university according to whether he offers courses in English suitable for his study curriculum, year and semester. The student consults selected courses with the branch coordinator. On the university's website, the student will verify all the necessary dates and requirements for the admission process, or ON-LINE registration with a foreign university.

In the Edison system, the student submits an application and chooses a university. The faculty International Office nominates the student within the deadline set by the foreign university.

Learning Agreement - the student fills in the application in the EDISON - "Mobility" and proceeds IN THIS WAY

Further steps must be solved by the student at the university International Office at Rectorate building (Ms Denisa Zdrazilova)

Online language support (OLS)

The Online Linguistic Support (OLS) is designed to assist Erasmus+ participants in improving their knowledge of the language in which they will work, study abroad so that they can make the most out of this experience.

Online language testing

Travel insurance

The conditions of the Erasmus + programme imply that the student is obliged to contract a medical insurance valid for the destination country for the duration of the stay abroad.

The student submits a copy of the contract or the original confirmation of the agreed travel insurance (from-to) for the entire period of study abroad to the Grand Agreement

Even if a student has a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), this does not mean that health care abroad is free. An EHIC issued in the Czech Republic in the EU covers necessary health care, under the conditions given by the local health system. In most countries, you pay extra for health care and medicines, the amounts can be very high, co-payment or medical transport back to the Czech Republic, which is not covered by health insurance, is paid. Therefore, the student must have travel insurance arranged before leaving for a study stay.

Grant Agreement

We recommend to start the procedure of the signing of the Grant Agreement in advance (at least 3-4 weeks before departure). In case of late delivery of all documents, the scholarship may not be paid on time and the student may have complications with further administration.

Before departure, the student must be duly registered to study at EDISON, otherwise it will not be possible to generate a participant contract in the system.

Summary of steps and documents required for the settlement of the Grand Agreement:

  • Apply for mobility in Edison
  • Learning Agreement (signed by all parties, filled at Edison)
  • OLS test
  • Letter of Acceptance and schedule of the academic year of the foreign university
  • Travel insurance (send a copy of the contract by email to the university International Office)
  • Bank account (listed in Edison)

Now an employee of the university International Office (Ms Denisa Zdrazilova) can issue a Grant Agreement.
