Rules for admission

Study in Bachelor´s and Master´s Degree Programmes in English for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Study in Doctoral Degree Programmes Accredited in English for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Study in Double Degree Programme in English for the AY 2026/27

The admission procedure starts with the submission of E-application and the payment of the admission fee by deadline.

Recognition of prior education

Have you obtained your education abroad? Do you wish to study at the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. Your prior education must be recognized. Recognition process of prior education is one of the most important part of admission procedure. The VSB-TUO has Institutional Accreditation which enable to assess the prior education of the applicants for purpose of the admission procedure at the VSB-TUO.

Fees

Admission fee

The admission fee is CZK 600 and is payable no later than 3 days after submitting the application. The fee is non-refundable. The payment has to be made via a payment order or via https://eps.vsb.cz. Unpaid eapplication cannot be registered in the system.  

Tuition fee

The fee must be paid tothe account of VSB-TUO and is due on the last working day of the calendar month in which the relevant semester of the academic year started:

  • CZK 50,000 per semester in a Bachelor’s degree programme;
  • CZK 50,000 per semester in a follow-up Master’s degree programme;
  • CZK 500 per semester in a doctoral degree programme.

Fee related with assessment of foreign education

The assessment fee is CZK 800. The applicant is obliged to pay the fee on the basis of the request of the relevant faculty and within the period specified in the Conditions of the Faculty Admission Procedure.

Scholarship

VSB-TUO provides the scholarship listed in the Scholarship regulation of VSB – Technical university of Ostrava

University provides Full-degree scholarship for student of the 1st year of full-time study of bachelor's or follow-up master's study programme in English at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.

Doctoral study income and Doctoral Scholarship is paid monthly. More detailed information will be provided by Department of Doctoral studies.
