17th International Week

23. 10. 2026 News
From October 12 to 16, 2026, the Faculty of Economics at VSB-TUO hosted the 17th annual International Week. This traditional international event once again provided a platform for sharing expertise, exchanging experiences, and establishing new contacts between academics from international universities and faculty members.

A key part of the programme was a series of 17 guest lectures delivered by international academics on October 14 and 15 as special blocks outside the regular teaching. Students had the opportunity to explore current topics in marketing, management, economics, finance, and other fields. The lectures covered a wide range of subjects, including digital marketing, supply chain management, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cost management, and innovations in retail. They offered students valuable insights into different professional perspectives and teaching approaches in an international academic environment.

The programme also included 7 workshops for staff training participants, focusing on the development of professional and teaching skills. Another important element was the international ET CASE Conference, dedicated to the circular economy and climate change. The conference provided a platform for expert discussions, the exchange of project outcomes, and the development of research collaboration.

Alongside the academic programme, participants took part in social and networking activities. These included a tour of the university campus, a visit to the planetarium, and informal gatherings that encouraged, mutual understanding, and the establishment of new professional relationships.

International Week once again highlighted the importance of international cooperation in education and research. Bringing academics together and involving international experts in teaching helps strengthen the faculty’s international partnerships and provides students with valuable insights into academic practices in different countries.

We would like to thank all international participants, guest lecturers, organizers, and partners who contributed to this year’s International Week!
